Privacy Policy

The short version

Portero collects nothing. The app runs entirely on your Mac, has no accounts, no telemetry, no analytics, and makes no network requests to us. We could not see your data even if we wanted to.

The app

Portero reads information about processes and network ports on your own machine using standard macOS tools (lsof, ps, pfctl). All of it stays on your device. Your settings, favorites, and firewall block list are stored locally on your Mac and never leave it.

The only outbound connections the app makes are local: probing ports on your own machine to detect HTTP servers, and opening your browser when you ask it to.

This website

This site is a static page hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts. Cloudflare may keep standard server logs (such as IP addresses) to operate the service; see the Cloudflare privacy policy.

Changes and contact

If this policy ever changes, the update will be published on this page. Questions: open an issue on GitHub.
